Overview
At Finastra, our mission is to unlock the potential of people and businesses in finance, creating a platform for open innovation. This journey includes simplifying processes to promote innovation and improve customer, employee, and partner experience. RPA is a key part of this journey and Finastra’s broader transformation strategy. Enabling our ability to scale automation efforts quickly is something we see as integral to our strategic success.
Embarking on an RPA journey can be daunting. Establishing the right Center of Excellence (CoE) structure is an important first step in setting your company up for success. The CoE will provide needed governance to ensure your RPA program has the right focus, skillsets, and scalability.
Furthermore, the RPA CoE will help you implement a digital workforce; upskilling the organization to become more adept as is deploys new ‘bots’. It will help ensure your company prioritizes the right opportunities to gain the most benefit, standardization, and scalable velocity. Equally critical, you don’t want to automate a bad process and the CoE can help flag processes not appropriate (or not ready) for automation.
As you get started, be especially sure to allow sufficient time for your CoE organizational design and intake processes. Allow the CoE to become fully formed and vetted before breaking into a run. It’s better to Go Slow to Scale Fast in the beginning.
Although still early in our journey, Finastra has some great learnings that we are eager to share. This session will focus on:
-
The key attributes of a successful CoE structure and ideas to help you with establishing and refining your own.
-
Various ways you can setup your CoE structure and team.
-
How we are using the intake process with our current Operational Excellence and Transformation initiatives (including our Process Framework).
