People Engagement Program (PEP!) for Business and Sales Enabling Center (BSEC) – part of Business Services SBU, Capgemini
Impactful delivery only happens in an organization if the team is inspired and driven. So, to improve team culture and create a fulfilling place to work, Capgemini’s Business and Sales Enabling Center (BSEC) rolled out the People Engagement Program (PEP!) in mid-2017 to its 450-plus team members.
Using the key findings from a company-level employee survey carried out in late 2016, the BSEC leadership devised a structured program with multiple initiatives and rolled it out throughout 2017 and early 2018. The aim of this program was to improve leadership and managerial effectiveness, internal team communications, onboarding processes, knowledge sharing, and personal development, while also energizing the work environment through various fun initiatives. The team used pre- and post-surveys in April and October 2018 respectively to measure the effectiveness of this program, with the latter being used to plan the next steps for 2019.

In addition, the annualized attrition rate for BSEC in 2018 was 15% – considerably less than Capgemini India’s average of 25% – proving the overall effectiveness of the PEP! initiative.
