Norbert Majerus, Lean Champion & Shingo Prizewinner from Goodyear Tire & Rubber will be a part of the outstanding list of speakers at the Business Transformation & Operational Excellence World Summit (BTOES17).  Norbert will be speaking on 'Lean Driven Innovation: Leading an End to End Business Transformation'.

I ensure the implementation of lean in the global R&D/Innovation organization.

How to apply lean to their organization and achieve similar benefits to the ones we achieved at Goodyear.

 
What have been the biggest developments in Operational Excellence in the last 12 months, within your organization?

It would have to be receiving the AME Excellence award for our Innovation Center.

 
How do you see Operational Excellence developing over the next 5-10 years within your organization?

More focus on the "fuzzy" front end of the innovation process!

 
What 3 key learnings would you like to takeaway from this conference?

1. How other people used lean in the innovation creation process.

2. What is the next frontier in manufacturing, marketing, business?

3. What does the latest research in Operational Excellence show?

Beginning in 2005, Norbert has implemented a principles-based lean product development process at the three global innovation centers of The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company. For nearly a decade he has been Goodyear’s lean champion in research and development. 

Norbert, born and raised in Luxembourg, has a Master’s degree in Chemistry from the Universitaet des Saarlandes, Saarbruecken, Germany, and has worked most of the disciplines in the Goodyear innovation centers in Luxembourg and Akron. You can learn more about Norbert's role at the summit here.
