john abel picture John Abel joined Ellie Mae in 2017 as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer. In this role he is responsible for all aspects of the company’s internal information technology and systems, and partners with business units for the planning and implementation of enterprise IT systems to align with Ellie Mae’s technology vision and business strategy in support of business operations. Mr. Abel has over 20 years in the IT industry. Prior to joining the company, he was Senior Vice President of IT at Hitachi Data Systems, where he helped drive the transformation from a hardware-selling company to enable growth in cloud-based software and solutions. Before Hitachi Data Systems, he held roles at Symantec, JDS Uniphase, KPMG Consulting, and British Nuclear Fuels plc.
