The Business Process Management study is a must if you want your company to grow. Especially if you are expanding to another territory.
Very often in different global organizations, we can find problems with Business Process Management, which lead some companies to problems with the execution and business prolongation after time.
The rules, which needs to be followed, during your Business Process Management might be simplified to the following steps:
1. As you name the ship, so it will float
The name of the company with its Mission and Vision are very important, when you start the Business and when you are planning for any of the Business Processes Management system establishment. People need Leadership, and this leadership starts from the Company’s Brand Name, Company’s Mission, and Vision.
2. Achievements are coming from the discipline
To achieve the results, the first step is discipline, which starts from the TOP level in the company. There is no any big organization in the world with negligent management and no discipline from the TOP level.
3. Big things are starts from the small details
If you want to build a system – you need to start from the details on “who, how, what and when”, which means that the system of business processes shall address in the documentation – who should do what, how, and when it shall be done.
4. Complexity is the enemy of the Business
Simplification of the processes will force your organization to grow. This does not mean that you should remove the right things from the right places. Every critical point shall be addressed but in a very simple way.
5. “Come with a solution, not a problem” attitude
The attitude in the company is very important. No one in this world is able to cover everything, that is why we are hiring people to help us manage the business. From the very beginning implementation of the concept “come with a solution, not with a problem” will significantly increase the possibility of success. Accountabilities and responsibilities shall be addressed and known by each employee, and expectations shall be addressed from the TOP level for all the levels in the company.
6. Quality Gates and control points
Trust, but check. All the processes are written to violate it – it is a common practice of people's attitude. And to make sure that what you built is working properly – make sure you have the Quality Gates implemented. Do not trust the words, trust the facts.
7. Processes automation
Very important after your system is implemented is to control the performance. From that you will see – was your approach correct, or you need to change any steps in the process. It is clear in 2021, that the automation of the processes with proper software – is a must.
To summarize the above points, we need to remember that any Business starts from an idea. And this Idea implemented by people. Wo the most important in any business – is to find the best people, involve them in Idea execution and be ready for any storm by building a strong team under your leadership.
