Transformation Done Right!

Our client has the mission to protect the nation’s food supply from food born illnesses. Over 9,000 people work for this agency and several thousand undergo mandatory training annually. For numerous years, such employees attended the required monthlong training in–person at various hotels located across the United States to stay current on topics relating to food safety. As you could imagine, the lodging and training expenses were extremely high. Additionally, such employees needed to be backfilled since they were away from work for four weeks. To combat these expenses, our client hired us to transform their training from typical instructor-led/PowerPoint-based training to engaging computer-based training leveraging interactive 360-degree video and virtual reality headsets. Additionally, we were hired to transform their paper/pencil tests into a virtual assessment hosted in the system Questionmark.

Over the course of one year, the KPC team consisting of simulation engineers, graphic designers, curricula developers, engagement specialists, editors, subject matter experts, and instructors worked tiredness to transfer the curricula for three-month-long courses into engaging e-learning hosted on Moodle.

As a result of our efforts, the KPC Team received awards issued by this agency. Additionally, they saw an increase in employees successfully passing the online assessments, and a 100% decrease in travel expenses since all travel was removed due to our efforts. To date, we still work with said client and were just awarded a $10M 5 year contract with them.
