Driving Client Business Outcomes using Power BI Data Analysis & data-backed visual storytelling
Cognizant’s Digital Finance has undergone the Power BI Adoption Program to improve the overall end-to-end interaction experience for our clients and internal stakeholders through data-backed visual storytelling.
The adoption of a data-backed visual storytelling tool has resulted in the following:
• Client business impact of $20 million (90% reduction in unallocated items).
• Improved Paid-on-Time (POT) percentage from by 50%.
• 64% cycle time reduction from invoice entry in system to posting.
• Improved controls in processes.
• In-depth visibility on key business metrics.
While these are more tangible benefits resulting from the use of a data-backed visual storytelling tool, a more conceptual advantage was that it positively influenced CFOs and Controllers of client organizations. This enabled Cognizant to not only drive results, but also develop future business opportunities buoyed by the client’s confidence in the company. A key difference that was visible was the clients were willing to sponsor projects after experiencing business updates through the data-backed storytelling tool, compared to MS Excel spreadsheets.
