BTOES Insights Question: Briefly describe your job role in your organization, and what your top priorities are right now?

Aditi Answer:
I am the President of The CyberXR Coalition. Our mission and top priorities right now are to address the need for diversity and inclusion in both the cybersecurity and XR domain while bringing the two together to address social and technical biases in emerging technologies to build safer and inclusive ecosystems for all.

BTOES Insights Question: What do you expect to be the most critical initiatives you (or your clients) need to focus on over the next 12 months?

Aditi Answer:

The most critical initiative we will focus on over the next 12 months will be human-centered design in digital environments. Recently, the CyberXR Coalition launched industry-wide, adoption-ready technology standards focused on 4 core pillars: accessibility, ethics, inclusion, and safety. Available for download at www.cyberxr.org/xr-standards.

BTOES Insights Question: What do you see as the biggest trends affecting your organizational (or your clients) over the next 12 to 18 months?

Aditi Answer:

The biggest trends affecting the extended reality sector are privacy policies and security measures to protect and monitor the access and use of data collected in digital environments, prevention of biases that go into data sets and moderation tools, and monitoring safety measures within XR that may put people of color and/or historically marginalized populations at risk.
