BTOES Insights Question: What is your primary goal in your job role at the moment?

Tony Higgins Answer:
Tony Higgins is the Chief Technology Officer at Blueprint Software Systems where he oversees product development efforts to bring Blueprint's technology vision to life, within a philosophy of continuous innovation. With over 20 years’ experience leading digital teams, he has been instrumental in driving the vision and evolution of Blueprint’s Enterprise Automation Suite, a modern and intuitive tool for scaling process automation initiatives to enterprise scale. He is passionate about building technology that helps enterprises to rapidly optimize, and digitally transform their organizations with higher-quality automations that maximize RPA uptime and ROI.

BTOES Insights Question: Are you providing all agenda topics, or would you like us to conduct research in the critical challenges and future trends facing your target audience, and craft the agenda.

Tony Higgins Answer:

Over the next 12 months, the most critical initiatives for us will be to help our clients move away from heavy, time-consuming paper-based documents like PDDs (process design document) to a new digital format that yields higher-quality automations and reduces errors and maintenance. The use of error-prone, paper-based documents like PDDs to plan, design, and communicate automation work is a big reason RPA projects are failing to deliver on their objectives. PDDs fall short because they lead to missed requirements, misunderstandings, and provide ineffective guidance for developers. Our objective is to help our clients maximize their RPA uptime and ROI by planning, designing, and communicating automation work in Digital Blueprints. Digital Blueprints ensure that the right bot is built the first time, decreasing errors and maintenance downstream while facilitating radically improved RPA governance, risk analysis, and change management.

BTOES Insights Question: Describe in title and bullet point form the top three trends or developments driving change in the specific sector(s) you work in.

Tony Higgins Answer:

The biggest trend that is affecting our clients in the short and long term is the state of their automation initiatives. There’s been a massive buy-in from the heavily regulated industries we serve, and for good reason. But many of those organizations are now finding themselves putting out fires because they are mired in rising automation maintenance costs and errors. These issues are preventing them from scaling and realizing the returns they anticipated when they started their automation journeys. We deliver a way to reverse that trend. Digital Blueprints provide a new, unique way to plan, design, and communicate automation work. Digital Blueprints lead to higher-quality automations that limit errors and maintenance down the road. Our clients that have adopted this new and improved method have been able to eliminate the issues that prevented scale and helped them get back on track with implementing intelligent automation across the enterprise with increased ROI.
