About the Author

Dr. David Grazman joined the Center for Transforming Healthcare leadership team in 2016 to oversee business development of the Center’s High Reliability offerings including Robust Process Improvement® (RPI) training for health care organizations and providers, focused on creating sustainable solutions to some of health care’s most critical quality and safety problems. His expertise will help advance the Center’s initiatives to help the nation’s leading hospitals and health systems build and strengthen their systems and structures to transform into high reliability organizations, providing health care that is consistently excellent and safe.In addition to holding previous roles within Joint Commission Resources and Joint Commission International, Dr. Grazman has also held a variety of leadership and consulting positions with internationally-known healthcare organizations, such as Tele Tracking Technologies and The Advisory Board Company, where he was responsible for the sales, delivery and management of strategic and clinical operational consulting engagements for hospital and health system clients. In addition, he is the former executive director of Heartland Health Outreach, Inc., a Federally Qualified Health Center that delivers medical, dental, mental health and substance abuse services to Chicago’s homeless population. Dr. Grazman received his doctorate in business administration from the University of Minnesota, a master’s degree in public policy from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government and a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Missouri. He is currently certified as a Yellow Belt.
