Project Management Institute (PMI) Digital Connectivity — Global Engagement and Regions

Founded in 1969, Project Management Institute grew in global prominence over the following 50 years as the world’s leading professional association for project managers. We have been especially wellknown for our leading certification offerings, like the Project Management Professional (PMP)® certification. Over the years, however, we have continued to adapt to changes in the marketplace, including adding new products and offerings to ensure relevance for professionals who face an increasingly wide range of complex project challenges in an environment of continuous change.

2020 offered unique challenges to our enterprise in adapting to a global crisis, continuing a complex transformation effort, and delivering value in new ways to stakeholders around the globe. Far from slowing down because of the COVID-19 pandemic, we accelerated the pace of transformation, putting in place a new regional organizational structure to better serve global stakeholders. We also accelerated existing efforts to thrive in a “digital first” environment – from rolling out new online offerings for project practitioners spending more time at home and converting live events to engaging virtual experiences. In many ways, COVID-19 served to accelerate many existing trends underway at PMI, which will benefit our enterprise and those we work with in the years to come.

Additionally, we are seeing new dynamism across PMI as our eight regional managers engage more closely with our chapters and stakeholder communities around the world — which has been accelerated by our focus on digital transformation efforts.

The Digital Transformation & Operational Excellence Awards have been established to showcase globally the most outstanding achievements through the application of Business Transformation, Digital Transformation, Operational Excellence & Innovation Excellence programs. The winners will be announced at the Awards Ceremony at The Digital Transformation & Operational Excellence World Awards (DTOES) on Wednesday, December 15th, 2021, from 6:30 PM at Renaissance Orlando at SeaWorld®.

The Business Transformation & Operational Excellence Awards are open to all organizations, both private and public sector, across the globe, which have implemented Business Transformation, Digital Transformation, Operational Excellence & Innovation Excellence programs to deliver outstanding business results.
