About E.ON

E.ON is an international privately-owned energy supplier which is focused on renewables, energy networks and customer solutions, which are the building blocks of the new energy world. The conventional generation and energy trading businesses were combined into a distinct company, Uniper, as per 1st January, 2016. E.ON did spin off the majority of Uniper to E.ON’s shareholders and Uniper has been independently listed since September 12, 2016. It has had considerable benefits with operational excellence since they embarked on this journey several years ago, but how have they sustained this in the organization? Lisa Norcross is Senior Vice President and Head of the Center of Operational Excellence for E.ON, based in Essen, Germany. Furthermore, she is a Mechanical Engineer who has been working in operations and operational performance improvement for over 20 years across several different industries. She started her career as a Graduate Engineer at Ford Motor Company, and after completing a post-graduate qualification in Manufacturing Management, moved into the Management Consulting world, working as an Operations Expert for McKinsey and CompanyBetween McKinsey and E.ON, she was Head of Operational Excellence for Europe and China for an aluminium manufacturer.
