PolyOne’s Lean Six Sigma (LSS) Customer First program provides training opportunities (Black Belt, Kaizen Leader, LSS Awareness), on-site mentoring, project support, and process improvement facilitation to strategic customers.  The program is focused on Customers too small to fund their own process improvement initiative, but large enough that the initiative can be supported.

 

PolyOne offers these services free of charge, for a number of reasons.  It helps customers become more profitable as they improve their internal processes.  More profitable customers lead to increased sales and more profitable suppliers.  In the Customer First program, PolyOne trained Black Belts are paired with customers to provide LSS mentoring and project support.  Customer employees attend PolyOne LSS training to transfer knowledge and skills.  Additionally, PolyOne Black Belts travel to customer sites to help drive process improvements.  The commercial exposure and personal growth for these future leaders of both PolyOne and its customers is invaluable.

 

Since launching in 2016, the results of the Customer First program have been tremendous.  More than 175 customer employees have received LSS training and subsequently generated over $9MM in annual savings for their organizations.  This has helped PolyOne build and strengthen long-term customer relationships leading to its first organic sales growth since 2010.  By combining one of PolyOne’s strongest assets, the LSS program, with the drive for commercial excellence, Customer First creates a highly collaborative environment which strengthens strategic partnerships and fuels the opportunity for business growth.

The winners for all categories and for The Platinum Awards will be announced at The Business Transformation & Operational Excellence Summit & Industry Awards on Wednesday March 20th, 2019, from 6.30pm, in the Venetian Ballroom at the Loews Portofino Bay Hotel at Universal Orlando Resort®. 

The Business Transformation & Operational Excellence Awards are open to all organizations, both private and public sector, across the globe, which have implemented Operational Excellence programs to deliver outstanding business results.
